I Thought He Was a Bit Quiet
news hog story pic Corpse found in a flat in Bristol. Discovered after complaints about the smell.

Reuters reports that the body of man who had been dead several years was discovered sitting on a sofa of a flat in the Bedminster area of Bristol. Although there are not thought to any suspicious circumstances, his landlord, a Bristol City Council tenant, who remained living in the property with the corpse, was arrested and released on bail. Presumably, he was charged with being unobservant.

In many ways the deceased would have been an ideal tenant - quiet and not wanting much in the way of food, although getting the rent would have been a challenge. A pity he wasn’t female. We could have trotted out the old gag, about the man who was asked how he knew his wife was dead.

"The sex was still the same," he said, "but the dishes had started to pile up."
